Installation between screed and floor allows fast heating of the room and rapid achievement of thermal inertia due to the modest size of the system. Especially recommended for places which have to be heated for occasional use, such as holiday homes, offices, shops, meeting rooms, restaurants, hotel rooms, etc... NB: For this application, we recommend you specify the lay direction of the floor boards when ordering, so that the heaters are produced with resistors in the opposite direction. The maximum recommended board thickness is 12 mm. Solid/laminated wood (floating) floor A patented heating system, only 4 mm thick. Available in standard modules or in various customised powers and shapes up to a max. surface area of 25 sqm. Thermal radiation Thermal radiation means exchanging heat using infra-red waves as heat transmitters. In fact, two bodies or objects with different temperatures naturally exchange radiations, and the heat flow tends to go from the warmer to the colder body. The radiation emitted in a room by an underfloor heating system turns into heat when it comes into contact with an object, a wall or a person. Infra-red waves are not absorbed by air but rather by solids, which turn them into heat. Heat is then transmitted to the room for occupants to enjoy optimal heating comfort.
