AC•THOR Hot water and space heating with solar power
AC•THOR is a 0 - 3 kW linearly controlled photovoltaic power diverter for hot water, electric heat sources and optional space heating.
Simple & efficient: AC•THOR controls electrical heat sources depending on the availability of PV energy and heat demand. And that for both hot water, as well as for space heating. It ensures your personal living comfort fully automatically . In a residential building that is built or renovated according to current energy standards, AC•THOR replaces conventional, water-based building installations. Missing residual energy can be obtained from the public grid.
Of course, AC•THOR can also be integrated into conventional, water-based systems such as buffer storages. Its flexibility leaves nothing to be desired. Thanks to the built-in touch display, it can be operated without any additional devices at any time and it is easy to install.
Advantages of AC•THOR
30% cost savings over conventional systems with self-generated energy
Linear power control from 0 to 3 kW, depending on PV surplus
Maintenance-free due to cables instead of pipes
Reduction of the boiler room space
Flexible control by various inverters, battery systems and Smart Homes
Allows affordable housing also in apartment buildings
Up to 85% PV self-consumption even without battery storage
AC•THOR in combination with my-PV WiFi Meter
In combination with my-PV WiFi Meter, AC•THOR uses excess energy from your photovoltaic system to supply electrical heat sources such as immersion heaters, electric heating mats or infrared panels linearly with power. This ensures optimal energy utilization.

AC•THOR in combination with battery storage
In combination with compatible batteries, AC•THOR, like AC ELWA 2, performs a hybrid storage function. Not only the hot water, but also the building mass (like in our new company building) can be used as storage. This way, even with larger PV systems, excess PV energy is optimally used. Optimal priority regulation between battery and heat storage is guaranteed. Click here for the compatible manufacturers.

AC•THOR in combination with Smart Home
Thanks to its flexible control, the AC•THOR also communicates with energy management systems. As an alternative to my-PV WiFi Meter, the excess information can also be received from these sources. Thus there are no limits for the integration into individual home controls. Data can be visualized in the Smart Home System.

AC•THOR in combination with dynamic electricity tariffs
On days with low sunlight, the AC•THOR can utilize cheaper electricity from the public grid for heating supply.
Anyone with a photovoltaic system and a dynamic electricity tariff can use the my-PV DTO to access cheap energy from the grid for heating even on cloudy days or at night when the PV system doesn't provide enough electricity. The my-PV DTO is easily activated in the my-PV Cloud and controls heating automatically – based on the lowest market electricity prices. The my-PV DTO works in combination with all IoT-capable my-PV devices.
